What are rice protein peptides?

Rice protein peptide (also known as rice peptide or rice hydrolysate) is a mixture of small-molecule peptides extracted from rice through enzymatic hydrolysis. Because its molecular weight is much smaller than that of intact protein, it can be rapidly absorbed by the human body and serves as a supplement to provide energy and relieve fatigue.

Key characteristics:

  • Hypoallergenic: Free of common allergens such as gluten, soy, peanuts, and dairy products, making it a high-quality protein source for individuals with lactose intolerance or cow's milk protein allergy.

  • Rapid absorption: Composed of 2 to 20 amino acids, it does not require the breakdown steps of protein digestion and can be directly and quickly absorbed by the human intestine.

  • Thermal stability: Rice peptide is rich in hydrophobic amino acids, which tend to aggregate inside the peptide molecule to form a stable hydrophobic core, thereby resisting heat‑induced molecular unfolding and inactivation.
